Harold's Express...

This maybe one of my favorite shots I've ever taken. This is my wife's horse "Harold". The image was captured with my first digital camera in 2004, a Minolta (remember Minolta?) A-1. It can be difficult photographing animals because they can be wary or curious and don't always cooperate with pleasing postures.

Laurel Hill Cemetery, Saco, Maine

After a visit with Carol's dad at the assisted living facility were going to head over the Sprague Sanctuary to shoot. It was such a gray day we decided to pull into the Laurel Hill Cemetery see what we could find that would fit the mood. This chapel there is covered in vines and totally lent itself to HDR imaging. These two were built in the open source Luminance HDR and cleaned up in PS.

Adobe CC Photographers Program...

Cools stuff...

Adobe has opened up its Photographers Program to all users. Participants in this program get Photoshop CC, Bridge and Lightroom for $10 per month. They have also allowed for folks currently subscribed to the Creative Cloud to transition to this program. I know they have taken a lot of flak for their new subscription based distribution model, but this is really a very good and fair deal. I hope the pricing stays they same after the first year but I had come to accept the $20 I was paying for Photoshop alone each month. As a working photographer, retoucher & pre-press tech I need PS. Getting it at half price is a bargain and the fact that they include Lightroom in this program is just plain icing. Good on you Adobe!
